Pablo Inda
Managing Partner
Pablo started his career as a Management Consultant for Kearney. On his first project, he developed a pricing strategy for gasoline and diesel products for the national oil company in Mexico (PEMEX), to face a more competitive and deregulated market as a result of the recent Energy Reform.
He participated actively in several private equity deals, assuming key roles in those carried out for the aviation and mining industries. In the first case, he was in charge of identifying operational changes that led to important cost reductions of an international aviation services company. In the second case, his responsibilities included elaborating the market analysis of the gold mining market and delivering the valuation of a gold mining company, which served as the benchmark to close its acquisition for over $200 MM USD by a dominant player in the Mexican mining sector.
Before cofounding Main Capital, Pablo led the operations of an insurance retailer in the border with the US. He was the key hire to carry out the transformation of the organization. During his tenure, sales and EBITDA more than doubled: sales grew from $19 to $42 MM USD in two years (2018 vs 2020).
Pablo studied Economics at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where he developed a deep interest in philosophy, international macroeconomics and decision theory.
Pablo has a passion for entrepreneurial activities, and therefore, has dedicated some of his personal time to invest and enhance small firms with attractive perspectives in terms of growth, such as Black Essentials, an online retail firm focusing on selling luxury clothes and accessories for those who love wearing color black. He also plays soccer twice a week and is an advocate of outdoor activities, such as running and skiing in the mountains.
