Javier started his career as Analyst in different Mexican Private Equity Funds, where he acquired relevant experience in due diligence, financial modeling and investment decisions regarding new projects in various industries, as well as expertise in financial and operational analysis of ongoing projects, trough a rigorous technical-based approach.
As Director of Financial Intermediaries of the Banking, Securities, and Savings Unit of the Ministry of Finance (SHCP), he carried out the economic-financial feasibility analysis of various market participants, including the one corresponding to the second Institutional Stock Exchange in Mexico (Bolsa Institucional de Valores, BIVA).
After his graduate studies, he became partner os Trouver Capital, a Mexican financial consulting firm. As Head of the Analysis Department, he carried out several consulting studies on various topics for important firms such as Monte de Piedad and Visa Inc. In addition, he was responsible for conducting the financial performance analysis, elaborating financial projections, and delivering valuations of a portfolio of firms in different industries (financial services, fintech and insurtech).
He studied Economics (with an emphasis in finance) and Public Accounting and Financial Strategy at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and has a master’s degree in Finance (MBR) from the Graduate School of Business (GSB), at Stanford University. Javier is passionate of the fitness life. He loves working out at the gym, swimming and has participated in some fitness contests.
